Bio
Chief of the Gerudo and one of the tribe's greatest warriors. Urbosa is one of the four chosen โchampionsโ by King Rhoam to pilot a Divine Beast, Vah Naboris, to defend the kingdom of Hyrule against the inevitable return of Calamity Ganon. Unfortunately, it is during this battle against Calamity Ganon that she meets her demise, her spirit doomed to be trapped within Naboris until freed by the legendary hero, and then her physical body revived by perhaps the most unexpected of people. Even one hundred years after her sacrifice, she is still revered as a hero and guardian of her people. With her athletic build and height, Lady Urbosa makes for a very intimidating figure. It is true that she is merciless on the battlefield. She loves the thrill of a good fight โ the adrenaline pumping through her veins, the ache in her muscles, the satisfaction of a battle hard won. Sheโs stern but fair in her leadership, and does not suffer fools nor traitors lightly. But she is, at heart, an extremely kind soul.Urbosa is capable of generating lightning with a snap of her fingers, aptly known as Urbosaโs Fury. She is also well trained in both swordsmanship and close quarters combat.NAME: Urbosa

ยฐ When she has her scimitar idly in hand, Urbosa has a habit of pressing her thumb on the ruby on its pommel until thereโs a light, pointy indent on her finger. Only ONCE has she done it hard enough to bleed.
ยฐ Urbosa adores sand seals and she actually has a sand seal plushie that she's had since she was a little girl that she can't bear to part with. It was a gift from her mother.
ยฐ The clasp worn in the middle of Urbosaโs ponytail was a birthday gift from her best friend, the Queen of Hyrule. It was the last item that the Queen gifted Urbosa with before her death, and thus, it holds a special meaning to her. She has worn it every single day since receiving it and considers it to be one of her most prized personal possessions.
ยฐ Urbosa has three pets. A sand seal named Inazuma, a horse named Storm, and most recently, a kitten named Horu. The kitten was mainly a gift for her children, to give them a pet and to teach them a bit of responsibility as they age.
ยฐ Urbosa isn't a follower of the Goddess Hylia. Watching what played out before her with Zelda, watching as the young girl cried and begged for the Goddess' help in unlocking her powers, while her cries fell on deaf ears, only solidified her decision as the right one. Like most Gerudo of her time, Urbosa is a follower of the Seven Heroines. When she does pray, she prays to the Seven only.
ยฐ Urbosa is extremely competitive and will turn nearly everything into a (usually) friendly competition. That said, she isn't a sore loser and will recognize credit and talent when due.
ยฐ Urbosa has a habit of tapping her nails against any surface when she's bored, angry, or upset. It can be anything from a table, an armrest on a chair, or her arm when she crosses them. Most of the time it's a subconscious act, but when she notices, she will stop herself.
ยฐ The Gerudo hold self defense and combat training in very high regard. They either learn from their relatives or attend classes led by a town guard. Following the completion of their training, a Gerudo is usually gifted a weapon to carry during their travels. This training is highly expected of future chieftains. It is a belief among the Gerudo that no ruler should be left helpless in the event of an attack. Scores of chieftains fully embrace the notion and become masters of the blade.

The Gerudo, as a race, are no strangers to magic. While possessing magical abilities is an ๐ฐ๐ท๐ฆ๐ณ๐ข๐ญ๐ญ rarity, there have been many Gerudo throughout recorded history to possess magical powers. Urbosa is somewhat of an even rarer case, as there has only been a small handful of Gerudo to wield lightning magic. There are rumors and speculations regarding the origins of these magical abilities. Some Gerudo believe it to be the result of witches/sorceresses within the tribe, others believe it to be a divine gift to the strongest warriors in the tribe blessed by the Seven Heroines, and others believe it to be inherited, even if generations upon generations are skipped in the process. These areโฆall true, to an extent. In Urbosaโs case, itโs a combination of a divine blessing and inheritance. Urbosaโs family is the longest known line of Chieftains, and there have been many in that line to possess magical powers, though itโs unclear whether any of her direct ancestors specifically wielded lightning. She is one of the Gerudoโs most powerful warriors in history, and although she isnโt a devout follower of any religion, she does acknowledge the fact that the Goddesses played a role in her lightning magic. Her powers have been refined throughout the years, self-taught on how to better control it (particularly in the case of it being tied to her emotions) and how to wield it with deadly, pinpoint accuracy. It was always speculated both by other people and Urbosa herself if she would/could ever pass on her powers to a child should she ever have them, and that was proven to be correct upon the birth of her second daughter, Liana. Liana showed signs of lightning magic from inside the womb, and most certainly from the moment she was born. Urbosa was much of the same, displaying signs of lightning magic from a very, very young age, these powers being very wild and uncontrolled as a young child and very much tied exclusively to her emotions. As an adult, they're still tied to her emotions, though she has learned how to control that aspect and use her powers only when necessary in combat, or even lightheartedly as a joke, being able to control the intensity of the bolts, down to being able to produce simple static electricity if desired.
